Job Title: SAP HANA Database Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HANA Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the performance, security, and reliability of our SAP HANA databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration: Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP HANA databases, including upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by monitoring system metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and applying solutions to improve query performance and reduce latency.
  • Backup and Recovery: Design and implement robust backup and recovery procedures to ensure high availability and minimal data loss in case of system failures or disasters.
  • Security: Implement and maintain secure access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption protocols to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
Required Skills:
  • At least 3 years of experience in SAP HANA database administration, with a strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture and database design principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems, including file systems, user management, and process management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools, such as SAP HANA Studio and SAP HANA Backup and Recovery (HBR).
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including secure coding techniques and vulnerability management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP HANA parameter tuning and configuration changes.
  • Experience with SAP HANA version upgrades and migrations.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Certifications in SAP HANA database administration or related fields, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Azure Certification.
