Senior Data Pipeline Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Pipeline Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support real-time and batch data processing.

About the Role:

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to deliver reliable, high-quality data systems that power analytics, insights, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL workflows using big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Build and manage scalable data architectures and cloud-based infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and governance by implementing data quality monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs and optimize performance of data systems, queries, and storage solutions.
Requirements:
  • Strong Technical Skills: Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data infrastructure role with strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Database Expertise: Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
  • Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.
  • Certifications and Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and advanced certifications in cloud or big data platforms.
