Infrastructure Management Specialist

Job Purpose:

  • Lead infrastructure operations, overseeing strategy development and implementation for datacenter management and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement the infrastructure strategy, analyzing existing systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Negotiate IT supply purchases, manage software licenses, and inventory hardware and software assets.
  • Interact with senior management to gain acceptance on alternative approaches and provide solutions to complex business problems.
  • Manage outsourced teams for daily operations, perform live disaster recovery activities, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network.

Preferred Profile:

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both datacenters and cloud infra.

Skills Required:

  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Planning and executing infrastructure-related projects.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network.
  • Good knowledge and exposure on cloud computing.

Functional Competencies:

  • Able to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to balance business needs with technical requirements. Strong leadership skills are essential for managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
