Job Description:

As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the mechanical maintenance function of an automotive sheet metal manufacturing facility. Your primary goal is to ensure maximum machine uptime, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Preventive Schedules:
    • Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Smooth Functioning of Equipment Systems:
    • Ensure smooth functioning of various systems including fabrication machines, welding lines, paint shop, assembly lines, utility systems, electrical, and automation.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, guide, and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians across multiple shifts.
    • Conduct skill upgradation programs for maintenance staff on new technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement & Cost Control:
    • Apply TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and root cause analysis for reducing repetitive breakdowns.
    • Drive automation upgrades and energy-saving initiatives.
    • Optimize maintenance costs while improving machine reliability.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for pressure vessels, boilers, electrical systems, and environment.
    • Maintain documentation for ISO, IATF audits.
    • Enforce strict adherence to plant safety practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical exposure preferred).
  • 15–20 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in auto/auto-component or sheet metal industry, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on exposure to robotic welding, paint shops, CNC fabrication equipment, and utilities.
