Job Title: Mechanical Drives Engineer

Global Service Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Drives Engineer to support our technical experts in solving complex mechanical drive train related issues.

This role involves working with a globally responsible team of technical experts, acting as the primary contact point for technical issues between local business units and central business units.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical drive trains and roller bearings, excellent analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel, and experience in project coordination or similar roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical experts to identify and resolve mechanical drive train related issues.
  • Assign tasks along the technical support process.
  • Collect information about mechanical components of wind turbines.
  • Identify and report potential serial defects.
  • Evaluate risk potential, budget, and schedule necessary activities related to major non-conformities.
  • Develop sustainable solutions for mechanical problems relating to wind turbine drive trains with distinctive technical expertise.
  • Create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies.
  • Define, implement, and obtain service processes for mechanical assemblies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in mechanical drive trains and roller bearings.
  • Proven experience in project coordination or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
