Synology NAS Expert

We are seeking a skilled Network Storage Specialist to provide remote technical services for the setup, integration, and validation of Synology NAS units.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Synology NAS solutions, strong knowledge of DiskStation Manager (DSM), RAID configurations, and SSD caching.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Validate hardware components and ensure firmware and DSM are up to date.
• Install DSM operating system, configure SSD cache, and RAID using enterprise SAS HDDs.
• Integrate NAS with Active Directory for centralized authentication and management.
• Create classroom-specific shared folders with access controls for teachers and students.
• Conduct access testing, perform basic system performance testing, and optimization.
• Deliver best practices guide covering system usage, data protection, and maintenance.
• Provide live walkthrough and Q&A sessions with clients' IT teams for knowledge transfer.

• Proven experience with Synology NAS solutions.
• Strong knowledge of DiskStation Manager (DSM) and its applications.
• Familiarity with data protection, backup strategies, and system best practices.

This is a short-term contract role; estimated 1 business day (8 hours) of remote support for implementation, with possible follow-up for troubleshooting.
