We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Sr Software Engineer to lead our software engineering team. In this key leadership position, you will oversee the successful execution and management of customer projects, ensuring timely completion within agreed technical scope, while also driving process improvement and team development.

  • Oversight of assigned customer projects, adhering to technical scope, schedule, and budget.",
  • Contribution to defining and refining software engineering processes, from pre-sale support through project handover.",
  • Support for productivity initiatives in the software engineering department, tracking key project deliverables and maintaining project budgets.",
  • Tracking and documentation of scope changes throughout the project lifecycle, managing risks and opportunities.",
  • Maintenance of adherence to and continuous improvement of software engineering standards and work processes.",
  • Effective management of software engineers, fostering open communication, identifying skill gaps, and aligning team skills.",
  • Driving of continuous improvement initiatives for the department and project execution.",
  • Definition and tracking of performance measures for software projects.",
  • Ensure effective communication with all disciplines and cross-functional groups within the organization.",
  • Management of internal and external customer communications, expectations, and conflicts.",
  • Support for customer acceptance testing and resolution of roadblocks and technical risks.",
  • Maintenance of project teams' adherence to quality and safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to supervise or lead a technical software engineering team.", "
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of distribution center material handling systems, including PC-controlled conveyors and sortation sub-systems.", "
  • Deep knowledge in C++, C#, and/or Java programming under Windows and/or Linux environments.", "
  • Deep knowledge of RDBMS, such as MS SQL, Postgres, or Oracle.", "
  • Proficiency with source control systems like SVN (Subversion) and GitHub.", "
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Ethernet, and EtherCAT is a plus.", "
  • Self-driven with autonomous problem-solving capabilities and requiring minimal supervision.
