Electrical and Instrumentation Manager

Key Objectives of this Position:

  • To effectively supervise the maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, reduce breakdowns and promote preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with industry best practices to optimize plant performance.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage Departmental Activities for Instrumentation and Electrical side ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Ensure compliance related to Nucleonic Gauge (Training through A.E.R.B./BARC) and maintain radiological safety standards.
  • Coordinate with regional teams for implementation of best maintenance practices like Risk Based Maintenance (RBM), EPS in Instrumentation and Electrical streams.
  • Oversee digitalization initiatives including OT security, process control and automation.
  • Develop and implement a plan to minimize downtime and optimize equipment availability.
  • Guide subordinates to repair the equipment and keep it ready to use as per requirement.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to procure and manage equipment and services.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for equipment maintenance, repair and replacement to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, productivity and quality.
  • Implement and monitor effective inventory management system to maintain optimal stock levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems and their applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with SAP and Plant Maintenance module is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC, SCADA, and LOGIC programming development.
