Software Quality Assurance Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in software testing and quality assurance. The individual should be able to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.

Test Automation:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar).
  • Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines.
  • Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Maintain test automation frameworks and improve test coverage.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
