Job Title: Technical Author

Job Overview:

As a skilled Technical Author, you will be responsible for creating and revising Service Bulletins (SBs) according to requirements in the SBO. This involves configuration analysis to identify pre- and post-drawings as per Airbus SB standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation and revision of Service Bulletins (SBs)
  • Configuration analysis to identify pre- and post-drawings
  • Familiarization with Airbus standards such as S1000D, iSpec 2200, and ASD STE – 100
  • Perform technical analysis of criteria and related data sources
  • Knowledge of SAP PCS and authoring tools in SAMM DACAS, TAKSY, GIDOCA, GYPSY, Airn@V, ZAMIZ, PASS SSCI, and APS
  • Aircraft zone and access studies to specify work location
  • Precise sequence of authoring process described in Quality Plan
  • Estimation of timeline and realistic commitment with project leader
  • Active participation in customer communication for queries
  • Analysis, mock-up, and authoring in Arbor text or Epic editor for SB
  • Maintenance of quality (RFT) and KPIs for assigned tasks
  • Management of workload and on-time deliveries (OTD) with quality
  • Knowledge of workflow processes like quality checks, INC & DCR
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methods like 5 Why and 8D (NCR)
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • B.E / B. Tech in Aeronautics
  • B.E / B. Tech in mechanical engineering with aeronautical engineering industry exposure
  • AME with Airline experience and SB authoring experience
