Legal Expert

As a seasoned legal professional, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our global operations. This position requires expertise in commercial contract management, corporate governance, and privacy compliance.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with our global teams to ensure seamless legal alignment across geographies and contribute to the success of our US-based operations.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including vendor, customer, and service-level contracts.
  • Provide authoritative legal advice on corporate governance matters, ensuring strict compliance with Indian corporate laws and regulations.
  • Support initiatives related to data protection and privacy, including adherence to India's DPDP Act and international frameworks such as GDPR.
  • Advise HR and management on employment law issues, encompassing internal policies, employment contracts, termination matters, and dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with global counterparts to harmonize local practices with US and European legal standards.
  • Offer expert assistance for US-based operations, including contract reviews, compliance-related matters, and business alignment with US legal teams.
  • Continuously monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, proactively mitigating potential legal risks.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent from a recognized Indian university.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in a technology or multinational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Indian contract and corporate law
  • Privacy and data protection regulations (DPDP Act, GDPR, etc)
  • Indian labor and employment laws
  • Exposure to US and/or European legal systems is a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
