Job Title: Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our System Verification Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving test effectiveness and improvements for our product in non-functional test areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the System Verification Team to ensure test effectiveness and improvements for the product in non-functional test areas.
  • Accountable for fault escapes and ensure that the product meets the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test requirements.
  • Develop and implement test strategies to ensure comprehensive testing of the product.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that test requirements are integrated into the development process.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase test efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that test results are accurately reported and analyzed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that the team is equipped to handle new challenges.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant Software Test experience in Telco grade products.
  • 3+ years of experience in directly leading teams building Telecommunication Software products.
  • 3+ years of Test experience in Non-functional(Performance, Robustness,etc) & serviceability areas with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Good working knowledge in Cloud, K8s core technologies with hands on python scripting.
  • Prior experience in interfacing with customers in understanding their deployments and use cases in the areas of Serviceability.
  • Good working knowledge in PCRF, VOLTE, DRA, SCP, BSF, SEPP in 4G/5G core technologies.
  • Good hands-on knowledge on Diameter/HTTP2 signalling domain, JSON, RestAPI, SCTP, TCP with core products e.g. Load Balancers, DRA, SLF, HSS, UDM, AUSF.
  • Good hands-on experience in Linux, Kubernetes, VMWare, OpenStack and working with CSF Assets & Blueprints like BVNF/BCMT/BELK.
  • In depth and working experience with cloud-ready, cloud-native, micro services and containers architecture, Devops.
  • Demonstrated expertise with scripting, tracing tools (Wireshark, tShark etc) and automation framework.
  • Working knowledge on the toolsets like Jira, Jenkins or Bamboo.
  • Able to bring in innovative practices for chaotic programmable performance tests like Chaos Monkey, Janitor Monkey etc.
  • Bachelor s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software related discipline. A Master s degree in a related field is an added plus.
