Job Title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Developer

We are a leading European energy company dedicated to accelerating the energy transition with speed, innovation, and resilience. Our Platform Engineering team plays a pivotal role in providing secure, scalable infrastructure, platforms, and tooling that enable rapid, high-quality software delivery for our Advanced Solution Delivery team and Trading Citizen Developers across the trading organization.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Developer to strengthen our digital trading capabilities. This individual will design, build, and enhance critical CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based infrastructure, platforms, and developer tools, ensuring the efficiency and scalability that powers our cutting-edge trading solutions.

• Design, plan, develop, and test our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards (Terraform) in collaboration with development teams.
• Develop, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines; fortify existing GitOps workflows; and enhance automation to ensure efficiency, resilience, and continuous improvement of our dev platform.
• Continuously improve the overall development process by identifying gaps or inefficiencies in dev workflows and increasing the overall level of automation and standardization.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in code readability, testability, maintainability, scalability, and security.
• Proactively enhance application resilience by designing, deploying, and scaling robust logging and monitoring infrastructure, enabling early detection and rapid resolution of system and service anomalies.
• Establish and maintain a centralized, actionable monitoring and alerting stack to ensure continuous infrastructure stability and drive operational efficiency through pre-emptive issue identification.
• Utilize your deep experience and problem-solving skills to help prevent and investigate production issues.
• Collaborate with other initiatives and areas within Client regarding DevOps, MLOps, DataOps.
• Serve as an interface to Client`s IT teams (Cloud Infrastructure, Information Security) and cloud vendors (Microsoft, Snowflake etc.) to resolve issues and to support and facilitate development and operations of our use cases.

Essential Qualifications:

• A degree in or related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps, Software Engineering, or related role.
• Expert in Git; hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions (preferred).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform).
• Proven experience in software builds and delivery using Python and/or .Net, Java, or Scala.
• Profound knowledge of at least one OOP language (preferably C#).
• Comfortable with Linux environments, and very good scripting skills with Python and/or BASH for automation routines.
• Able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Sound expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with one of the observability stacks like Azure Monitor, Datadog or Grafana/Prometheus/Loki (preferred), and a solid understanding of the underlying concepts.
• Experience with IaaS and PaaS offerings of Azure (preferred) and/or AWS.
• Experience with agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban etc).
• Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with trading and risk management from commodity or financial markets space would be a plus.
• Experience integrating with or building plugins for platforms like Backstage or ServiceNow.
