R&D Engineer

Our team is seeking a skilled professional to design, develop, and test optical fibre, data and communication cables for aerospace and defence applications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative cable solutions that meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct research to identify and implement advanced materials and technologies in cable design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data cable designs are optimized for performance, reliability, and durability.
  • Develop and document technical specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Evaluate compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and quality assurance teams.
  • Participate in project planning, milestone tracking, and risk management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Proven experience in R&D within the aerospace, defence, or related high-tech industries.
  • Strong knowledge of data cable design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
