Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Solutions Architect to design, develop and optimize large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows on Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform with proven experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop and optimize large-scale data pipelines and ETL workflows on GCP.
  • Data Model Management: Build and maintain data models, storage solutions and analytical systems leveraging BigQuery, Dataflow and other GCP services.
  • Data Governance: Ensure robust data governance, security and compliance within cloud environments.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries, scripts and workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Leadership: Lead architectural discussions, define best practices and mentor junior team members.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and production environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • 3+ years working experience with Python and SQL.
  • Strong experience in one or more of the following:
    GCP + Python + SQL + Dataflow,
    GCP + BigQuery,
    GCP + Data Governance,
    GCP + Java + Apache Beam,
    GCP + Big Data + SQL + ETL,
    GCP + PySpark / BigQuery SQL,
    GCP + BigQuery + Unix + PL/SQL
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with cross-location teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with advanced Big Data frameworks and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
