Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mainframe Tester to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your knowledge of QA manual and automation testing, as well as your expertise in JCL, COBOL, SQL, to drive quality and efficiency in our Mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, leveraging automation tools such as API test automation using Rest Assured or Karate, Selenium, Cucumber using Java.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and document defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues and implement fixes.
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of testing methodologies, including black box, white box, and gray box testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve testing processes and practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA manual and automation testing, with a focus on Mainframe testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in automation tools, including API test automation using Rest Assured or Karate, Selenium, Cucumber using Java.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform testing decisions.
