About the Category Manager Role:

Earthful is seeking a skilled Category Manager to join their team in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supply chains, vendors, procurement, and inventory optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing that supports the company's growing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best terms and conditions.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services by maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage inventory levels and optimize inventory turnover to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory to inform future procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and preferences.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations relevant to procurement to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, operations, and procurement principles and practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and MS Office.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to inform procurement decisions.
