GIS Expert Role

About the Position

We are seeking an accomplished GIS expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of geospatial data analysis, visualization and modeling techniques. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ESRI ArcGIS Suite and proficiency in cloud-based GIS platforms.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Geospatial Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret geospatial data to identify trends and patterns.
  • GIS Application Maintenance: Maintain and optimize existing GIS applications to ensure they continue to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs.

A key aspect of this role is staying up-to-date with emerging GIS technologies and best practices.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in GIS development.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite.
  • Experience working with cloud GIS platforms.
