Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design Specialist

About the Role:

  • Develop comprehensive plumbing and firefighting system designs, incorporating concept, schematic, development, and construction phases.
  • Create detailed tender drawings for plumbing and firefighting systems, including waste, soil, rainwater, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire extinguisher systems.
  • Prepare precise calculated notes and shop drawings for submission and resubmission.
  • Select and prepare materials for approval.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to request quotations and technical documents.
  • Take off accurate bill of quantities (BOQ) for firefighting and plumbing systems.
  • Provide information on design specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction timelines.
  • Consult with consultants to determine MEP system functions and spatial requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
  • Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents.
  • Plan project layouts.
  • Prepare scale drawings.
  • Collaborate with supervisors in preparing technical reports and site installations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project schedules, designs, and constructions.
  • Prepare progress reports, daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports.
  • Prepare material lists.
  • Prepare costing for bidding.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as engineering or architecture.
  • Proven experience in plumbing and firefighting design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
