Health and Safety Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Health and Safety Expert. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience in occupational health and safety, who can provide expert guidance and support to clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including CDM 2015, and be able to work collaboratively with design teams to ensure compliance with these regulations. They will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to provide clear and concise advice to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients and internal teams on health and safety matters.
  • Work closely with design teams to ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of health and safety best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • BE in Civil / Mechanical / Structural / Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in construction, design, structural, and architectural backgrounds.
  • Minimum of NEBOSH International or General Certificate in Construction Safety and Health, Level 6 Diploma desirable.
  • Working knowledge of engineering and construction management methodologies associated with commercial and retail developments.
  • Excellent report writing and data analysis skills.
  • Proven post-qualification experience in an industry/sector presenting complex risks.
