Achieve Data Excellence as a Senior Data Engineer
About the RoleThis role is for an accomplished Senior Data Engineer to lead a team of experienced engineers, propose and implement innovative data architecture, resolve complex data modeling issues, interact directly with clients for requirement gathering, create a comprehensive roadmap, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Main Responsibilities- Designing and implementing workflow management systems using Airflow.
- Developing cloud-native data-intensive applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in designing and developing modern data warehouses per business requirements.
- Expertise in Databricks and dbt is required.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Spark applications.
- Understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other optimized file formats.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability systems such as Datadog and Prometheus/Grafana.
- Strong expertise in building CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.
- Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks.
- At least 10 years of experience in data engineering with at least 4 years of leadership experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience in building cloud-native data-intensive applications on AWS and GCP.
- Experience in designing and developing modern data warehouses per business requirements.
- dbt and Databricks experience is required.
