Senior Data Solutions Architect

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of our data engineering solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

As a Senior Data Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and secure data architectures that meet business requirements. You will lead the implementation of data solutions on various cloud platforms, define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of cloud-native data services, big data technologies, and data warehousing concepts. You should have excellent problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques. Additionally, you should possess strong communication and collaboration skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure data architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of data solutions on various cloud platforms.
  • Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve our data infrastructure and practices.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, data flows, and processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture and cloud computing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Overall 8-12 years of experience with 3+ years of experience in data architecture or a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data solutions on at least one major cloud platform.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native data services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and EMR on AWS, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Data Factory, and Databricks on Azure, and BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Dataproc on GCP.
  • Experience with big data technologies and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
