Job Description:

The role of Operational Excellence Specialist involves developing and implementing strategies to improve operational effectiveness and profitability within global manufacturing sites and processes.

This specialist will collaborate with site leadership teams and the Director of Operational Excellence to drive a performance transformation, enhance a continuous improvement culture, and develop and lead Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and implement cost-saving projects through process improvements.
  • Establish and maintain policies and standards for group manufacturing excellence.
  • Implement an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) program to track and eliminate production losses.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and streamline processes using Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Support project execution by promoting the use of proven tools and approaches.
  • Ensure sustainability of improvements through training and skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business results through the implementation of Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor leadership team members to facilitate a culture that motivates employees.
  • Recommend and implement methods to increase product quality and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in project management, operational excellence, or consulting.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma and technical skills.
  • Strong initiative, project management skills, and impact/influence abilities.
Education & Experience:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. A scientific background is highly desired. Relevant work experience includes BS/BA in a scientific or business discipline and at least 5-8 years' experience in project/program management, operational excellence / continuous improvement, or consulting role required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required skills and qualifications include a strong understanding of business operations, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, effective communication skills, collaboration skills, and ability to work independently.
