Student Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as a Student Mental Health Professional.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for someone who genuinely cares about students' well-being, enjoys listening deeply, and wants to create safe spaces for young people to open up. As a Student Mental Health Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health support to students on campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Mental Health Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to students facing various challenges, including academic pressures, relationship issues, and personal struggles.
  • Counseling Sessions: Conduct in-person counseling sessions with students, facilitating open and honest discussions to help them navigate their difficulties.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in awareness drives, workshops, and well-being campaigns across campus, promoting a culture of openness, empathy, and resilience among students.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team to develop and implement initiatives that foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, adhering to strict confidentiality and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology (mandatory).
  • Experience: Possess experience working with youth/academic mental health or demonstrate strong interest in this area.
  • Skillset: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage with students in an empathetic and approachable manner.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable working flexible hours, including night shifts.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi (knowledge of Bengali is a plus).
  • Availability: Willingness to stay on campus.
