About the Position

The Power BI Engineer will be responsible for building insightful data visualizations that transform assessment data into actionable intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Build Solutions: Understanding business needs to create tailored solutions.
  • Warehouse and Reporting Expertise: Capable of architecture, design, and implementing warehouse and reporting solutions.
  • Data Extraction: Extracting data from bespoke applications and third-party products.
  • Consolidation: Consolidating multiple data sources into a data warehouse and/or data lake.
  • Data Accessibility: Ensuring data is accessible and structured to facilitate reporting needs.
  • Dashboards and Reports: Setting up dashboards and reports in data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Solution Development: Building resilient, reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Staying ahead of issues with proactive monitoring and alerting.
  • Best Practices: Implementing best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate as part of an agile team to design, develop, and maintain software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of strong experience with SQL Servers and relational databases.
  • Strong experience with querying and optimizing complex data sets.
  • Strong experience working with older legacy code and systems.
  • End-to-end knowledge from product databases to information visualization.
