Senior Contract Manager - Data Procurement Expert

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Contract Manager with deep experience in managing contracts and vendor relationships with leading financial data service providers. This role will be instrumental in optimizing contract terms, ensuring compliance, and driving cost efficiencies while maintaining strong vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end contract processes including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, and renewing contracts with data vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and maximum ROI.
  • Keep internal contract management tools updated and drive improvements to gain efficiencies and streamline operations.
  • Lead commercial and legal negotiations with data providers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels that align with business objectives.
  • Partner with client's internal teams (Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units) to align contract terms with business needs and compliance requirements, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication.
  • Ensure contracts adhere to internal policies, regulatory standards, and data usage guidelines, minimizing risk and maximizing opportunities.
  • Track vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs manage escalations and dispute resolution when necessary, promoting a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Analyze usage patterns and contract structures to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, informing strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, pricing benchmarks, and emerging data providers to support strategic sourcing decisions and stay ahead of the competition.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field; Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
  • Relevant experience in contract management and vendor negotiations, preferably in financial services or data procurement, with a proven track record of success.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of licensing models, data entitlements, and compliance frameworks, with the ability to interpret complex contractual language.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in implementing process improvements and driving efficiency gains.
  • Legal acumen in contract law and intellectual property rights, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex contractual agreements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret usage data and financial impact, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
