Job Description

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our rapidly evolving technology proposition. You will be responsible for technical seniority, supporting consulting projects, identifying and advising on appropriate solutions for clients.

  • Design and deliver high-quality digital solutions with a focus on best practices and coding standards.
  • Advocate for developer experience and continuously improve it.
  • Encourage a blameless culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

You will work closely with Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads, and Product Managers to understand problems and define technical scope for global sports properties. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Setting up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality, and source control.
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
  • Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, preferably with 7-9 years of experience. Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js is essential, with experience in Node.js being desirable. Additionally, you should have experience working in a CI/CD environment and an appreciation for DevOps and platform engineering culture.

Expertise includes agile development practices, continuous integration, and test automation via various methods such as unit, integration, contract, and E2E testing. You should also be able to observe the performance and health of applications using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog, Sentry, etc. Proactive problem-solving and excellent communication skills are required.
