Role Overview

Comcast Corporation is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer II to join our innovative team. As a member of this team, you will be part of a high-performance engineering organization focused on providing the most reliable, secure, and high-quality experience at scale to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and evolving automation frameworks, as well as experience with CI and build tools such as GitHub, Concourse, or Jenkins. Proficiency in Ansible or other scripting languages and familiarity with deployment and packaging toolsets like AWX, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes/Containers are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements and design and implement automation solutions to drive efficiency and reliability, particularly focusing on continuous deployment.
  • Develop and maintain system automation documentation and version control to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Define and maintain server installation/configuration standards for OS, hardware, software, and version levels.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement processes in collaboration with operations and deployment teams.
  • Deploy, maintain, and enhance software and system monitoring services to ensure optimal performance.
  • Design and deploy a robust continuous integration and deployment environment to streamline development processes, leveraging Ansible automation.
  • Mentor and lead others in current and future toolsets and technologies to foster a culture of innovation and growth.
