Job Title: English to Marathi Translator

We are seeking a skilled and culturally aware professional to handle the translation of advertisements for our leading newspaper publication.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating ad copy from English to Marathi while maintaining the original impact, tone, and brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate advertisement content (print and digital) from English to Marathi, including commercial ads, classifieds, promotional content, and display ads.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of translated advertisements.
  • Adapt advertising copy to suit Marathi audience sensibilities without losing the intent or promotional appeal of the original ad.
  • Proofread and review final copy before going to print to ensure error-free publication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marathi Literature, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Advertising, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in translation, preferably with a focus on advertising or media.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in Marathi.
  • Familiarity with advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google Docs); familiarity with ad layout tools is a plus.
