Job Title: VMware Administrator

Virtualization Administration: The Foundation of Datacore Technologies

We are seeking a skilled VMware Administrator to fill this key position in our infrastructure team. As a member of our virtualization administration team, you will be responsible for the administration and management of our virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage VMware vSphere environments to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement and manage cloud technologies, including AWS and Azure, to optimize infrastructure and reduce costs.
  • Utilize version control systems, such as Git, to manage code changes and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Crossplane to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
  • Manage Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer vRealize Automation and vRealize Orchestrator to streamline automation processes and improve efficiency.
  • Develop scripting skills in languages like Ansible and PowerShell to automate tasks and integrate with APIs.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Participate in the development of CICD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Work closely with Identity and Access Management (IAM) teams to design and implement IAM solutions using AWS IAM and Azure AD.
  • Collaborate on disaster recovery and backup solutions using Commvault to ensure business continuity.
  • Apply networking fundamentals to design and implement secure and scalable networks.
  • Develop configuration management skills using Ansible to automate infrastructure configuration and deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with cloud security best practices, including data encryption, security groups, and key management.
  • Collaborate on performance tuning and capacity planning efforts to ensure optimal system performance.
