Cloud Operations Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, related technologies, and vendor products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure 100% availability of deployed cloud infrastructure
  • Streamline operational processes for a healthy and robust network
  • Achieve set benchmarks for cloud KPIs
  • Facilitate technology discussions, prioritization, and governance
  • Closely coordinate with SNOC, Cluster, and Code teams to address cloud-related issues
  • Track release cycles of software updates, firmware updates, and security patches
  • Align with OEM vendors for implementation of new features and parameter changes

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

  • Maintenance upgrade and FNI decision-making
  • Change request approval for service-affecting and service-threatening operational changes
  • Operational process review, adoption, and implementation
  • OEM Care support and case closure management
  • Analyzing incidences and re-engineering solutions to improve system availability
  • Providing support involving multiple stakeholders
  • OEM governance and ongoing/recurring issue resolution
  • Analyzing spare requirements based on fault trends and sharing with CODE teams
  • Arranging vendor solutions for operational concerns
  • Initiating competency building programs for operational teams
  • On-boarding SNOC and circle teams on operational model changes
  • Driving roll-out of new changes/improvements/upgrades on live nodes

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience:

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and related technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia CBIS, Zabbix, ZenOSS, OMC, and NADCM operations
  • Experience in deploying open-stack (NFVI) cloud infrastructure
  • Good understanding of CEPH-based storage, OpenStack services, and SDN technologies
  • Hands-on experience in updating/modifying networking of cloud infrastructure

Technical Qualifications:

  • BE/B. Tech in Electronics & Communication
  • Training/certifications in relevant cloud technology
  • Linux advance Training/certifications
  • Open stack Training/certifications

Years of Experience:

10+ years of experience, with 3-4 years in cloud operations
