Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled SAP HANA Database expert with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and customer-centric approach to deliver top-notch results.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SAP HANA Database architecture and ability to manage installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Message processing, technical incident management, service/change request management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
  • Installation, patching, and upgrade activities.
  • Performance monitoring, tuning, backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
  • High availability of systems, including disaster recovery setup.
  • Technical expertise to optimize system operations and architecture.
  • Supporting concept and tool development to prevent issues and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborating within international teams and driving global knowledge transfer and documentation.
  • Workshops and training sessions for customers and ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Juniors and trainees supervision to foster learning and growth.
  • Technical migration projects and process improvements planning, setting up, and implementing.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 9 years of experience in SAP HANA DBA.
  • SAP HANA Database architecture knowledge.
  • Linux operating systems basic understanding.
  • HANA backup and recovery concepts using traditional and Backint methods in-depth knowledge.
  • DB restarts and troubleshooting issues in MDC/Non-MDC environments using OS-level commands and Studio experience.
  • HANA 2.0 MDC end-to-end installation.
  • DB client upgrades, add-on installations, and troubleshooting related issues.
  • HANA version upgrades across different support packs in HANA 2.0.
  • Monitoring alerts from HANA Studio and taking necessary actions expertise.
  • HANA licenses applying using OS/Studio environments.
  • Audit logs managing and enabling logs for user activities.
  • Different types of traces enabling/disabling for performance analysis.
  • End-to-end system health checks performing.
  • HANA user management experience.
  • Troubleshooting skills for backup-recovery, memory, CPU utilization, and database performance tuning.
  • HANA parameter configuration changes expertise.
  • Executing backup recovery and point-in-time recovery for both MDC and Non-MDC systems.
  • HANA outages handling (system downtime, system hang, and performance issues) while meeting required SLA commitments.
  • P1 and P2 incidents managing and ensuring timely resolution as per KPI requirements.
  • Shift leadership experience is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including one week of night shifts per month.

  • Strong analytical skills, technical affinity, and a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Participating in on-call rotation, including weekends or public holidays when required willingness.
