Job Title: AI Engineer – Synthetic Test Data Generation

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to design and implement intelligent frameworks for synthetic test data generation in support of clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and GxP-compliant systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Python expertise and knowledge of clinical data management systems and CDISC standards.

They will also have experience with generative AI techniques and be able to apply them to model realistic clinical scenarios and create synthetic patient journeys across EDC, eCOA, CTMS, LIMS, and PV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Synthetic Test Data Automation
    • Build Python frameworks to generate synthetic clinical and operational datasets that meet CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM).
    • Produce high-quality, audit-ready datasets that reduce reliance on production data and accelerate testing cycles.
  • AI/Machine Learning in Data Generation
    • Apply generative AI techniques (LLMs, GANs, diffusion models) to model realistic clinical scenarios and create synthetic patient journeys.
  • Compliance & Data Governance
    • Ensure adherence to GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and GDPR standards by implementing anonymization/obfuscation while maintaining clinical and statistical fidelity.
  • Collaboration & Integration
    • Work with Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance, and Compliance teams to gather requirements and embed test data generation into CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong Python expertise (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow), familiarity with clinical data management systems and CDISC standards, and knowledge of GxP/21 CFR Part 11 and regulated data handling.
  • Domain Knowledge: Background supporting clinical trial systems, understanding of statistical workflows and integration into test pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional Experience: Previous experience with generative AI techniques and their applications in synthetic test data generation.
