SAP System Administrator Role

Overview:

  • This role involves the administration of SAP systems ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Installation and Upgrade: Install and upgrade SAP systems to ensure they meet the business requirements.
  2. System Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency.
  3. Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
  4. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery architectures for SAP systems.
  5. Security and Compliance: Ensure SAP systems are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  6. Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain knowledge of SAP products, solutions, and best practices.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP system installation, upgrade, patching, OS/DB migration, system performance, and downtime optimization.
  • Experience with SAP backup and recovery, high availability and disaster recovery architectures, and system upgrade, enhancement, security pack, and support packages implementation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong technical skills and expertise in SAP Basis administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
