Insurance Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and underwriting insurance policies.

  • Evaluate and assess risks associated with insurance applications, including crops, livestock, machinery, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of agricultural risks using historical data, climate forecasts, farm management practices, and geographic factors.
  • Design and recommend appropriate coverage levels and policy terms based on risk assessments and market conditions.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of agriculture production, climate risks, and farm operations.
  • Knowledge of agricultural insurance products, including crop, livestock, and farm insurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex risks.
  • Familiarity with underwriting software and tools, including risk modeling and GIS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain underwriting decisions to non-experts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in insurance underwriting (e.g., CPCU, ARM).
  • Experience with agriculture insurance policies specific to regional crop and livestock markets.
