Financial Data Platform Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and passionate engineer to join our team in building the emerging onchain platform and the future global financial system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and developing the platform for financial data, providing technical structure to teams, and working closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in architecting big data systems around technologies like Apache Spark and Hive. They will also have experience in upleveling junior engineers, mentoring, and training them on design techniques and coding standards.

In addition, the successful candidate will have passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together, experience with integrating NetSuite APIs, and experience with developing financial tools such as reconciliation, ledgers, balance matching, and transforming business/product data to accounting/financial domain.

Nice to haves include experience with Golang, gRPC, Docker, SnowFlake, Databricks, and advanced SQL, as well as experience working with finance and accounting teams, performance tuning of big data systems, Kyriba integration, and fintech domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop the platform for financial data.
  • Provide technical structure to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
  • Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of customers.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting big data systems around technologies like Apache Spark and Hive.
  • Experience in uplevelling junior engineers via processes and setting a high bar for them to follow.
  • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
  • Experience with integrating NetSuite APIs.
  • Experience with developing financial tools - Reconciliation, Ledgers, Balance matching.
  • Experience transforming business/product data to accounting/financial domain.
