Cloud Architect Role

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position involves designing and developing repeatable on-premise and hybrid cloud architectures using best practices on infrastructure as code orchestrations toolings, CI/CD, GitOps, etc. The goal is to create scalable architectures that can be implemented from development to production environments, with a focus on making reference implementations for these architectures and continuously improving them to meet growing demands from internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead for the team on DevOps and Cloud infrastructures, driving engagement and motivating the team to success. They should be committed to challenging themselves to improve, adhere to small and consistent increments that deliver value and impact to the business, and have Agile and growth mindsets with a strive for excellence.

Key Skills and Qualifications

System Administration: Proficiency in GNU/Linux, nix, On-demand Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Storage, and Infrastructure. Experience with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Virtualization, Containerisation, and Orchestration, including Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Continuous Integration Deployment (CI/CD), and Automation tools like Jenkins and Ansible.

Project Management: Strong skills in Infrastructure service monitoring and log aggregation design and implementation, including Appdynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Distributed data processing frameworks like Hadoop and Spark, big data platforms such as EMR and HDInsight, NoSQL and RDBMS, Design and Administration of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Change Management Coordination.
