Job Title:

Senior Backend Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our tech team at Dar. As a key member of our tech team, you will work on complex challenges involving data integration, processing, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement strategies for optimized data storage and high availability, including failover mechanisms to prevent data loss or disconnection.
  • Contribute to architectural design and decisions.
  • Develop new or improve existing functionalities to enhance product performance.
  • Manage and improve CI procedures.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce technical debt and enable the team to iterate faster.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Address performance and scalability issues, taking ownership of complex requirements and breaking them down into manageable deliverables.
  • Mentor junior developers through code review, pair programming, and training to promote collective knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and SCRUM meetings.
Requirements:
  • Programming languages: Python, JavaScript, .NET language (C#, VB.Net, etc.), JAVA is a plus.
  • Databases: SQL, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB (Time series database), NoSQL (like MongoDB), Graph databases (like GraphDB).
  • Reporting: Power BI, Grafana.
  • Knowledge of REST, SOAP APIs.
  • Bigdata platforms and Message Queueing platforms experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GitHub and Jira is a plus.
  • DevOps experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience.
