Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Indirect Taxation to join our team at Royal Enfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Controllership function in managing the Indirect Tax audit, assessment, reconciliation, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper records, coordinate with various departments, and ensure all assessment and appeals are closed within due timelines.
  • Coordinate with advocates and consultants on various tax matters.
  • Ensure compliance of routine statutory activities, such as reply to notices, audit points, and queries.
  • Prepare audit schedules for Indirect Tax matters.
  • Maintain Books of Accounts for Indirect Tax audits and assessments.
  • Provide support to the GST team on compliances for various states.
  • Support various reconciliations for Books of Accounts and GST returns.
  • Prepare in-house returns and support other reporting obligations; monthly tax MIS reporting and month-end closures.
  • Regularly track and update amendments in GST provisions and ensure compliance of various amendments.
  • Provide suggestions for tax planning and compliances.
  • Carry out pre-submission audit checks, resolve inconsistencies, and file periodic returns within deadlines.
  • Support with IT enhancements and digitized process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience in GST.
  • Demonstrated experience in independently handling the Indirect Taxation role with minimum support from Superiors.
  • Experience with GST compliance in a SAP environment.
  • Good subject knowledge in GST Acts & Rules, Excise, and VAT.
