Job Overview:

This is an opportunity to join a team of skilled professionals as a senior database administrator specializing in SQL Server. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust database solutions, ensuring high availability, and managing data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage complex database systems using SQL Server, including version upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Configure and maintain high-availability solutions, such as log shipping, mirroring, clustering, and Always-On AG, to ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and enforce backup strategies, utilizing encryption, compression, and special parameters to optimize data protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database corruption issues, master database problems, and other critical database-related concerns.
  • Implement replication configurations and manage HA/DR solution administration, ensuring seamless data synchronization and disaster recovery.
  • Promote server capacity monitoring, analysis, and tuning activities to optimize performance and resource utilization.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools to enhance efficiency, reduce manual errors, and minimize downtime.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, T-SQL, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Expertise in HA/DR solution administration, replication configuration, and management.
  • Strong patch management skills, with knowledge of Always On AG scenario handling, including failover.
  • Advanced knowledge of server capacity monitoring, analysis, and tuning activities.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages for backup, monitoring, resource utilization, HA alerts, capacity plan management, and SQL Server tuning.
