Job Title

A leading multinational IT services and consulting firm is seeking a skilled engineer to lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications.

Job Description

Lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations. Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions.

  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud.
  • Develop and maintain secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.

Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.

Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics. Troubleshoot optimize and support existing SCADAMES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.

Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team. Lead transformative manufacturing technology projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong background in MES functions, production tracking OEE downtime analysis, traceability SPC etc.

  • Proficiency with database technologies, SQL Server MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OTIT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC, SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88, ISA99 IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments.
