Lead Designer – Mechanism

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design group, you will be responsible for creating innovative and functional mechanical designs that meet our customers' needs.

• Design Development: Develop detailed designs for mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet technical requirements, performance specifications, and cost constraints.
• CAD Software: Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) to create 3D models and technical drawings.
• Analysis and Testing: Perform stress, thermal, and performance analysis of mechanical components and systems to ensure they meet safety and functionality standards.
• Prototype Development: Create and refine prototypes based on design specifications and test results.

• Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, etc.) to ensure that mechanical designs are integrated seamlessly into final products.
• Design and Implementation: Participate in the development and design of new products or systems, from conceptualization to final implementation.
• Calculations and Simulations: Perform calculations and simulations (e.g., Finite Element Analysis or FEA) to ensure the integrity and reliability of designs.

• Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, prototypes, and perform mechanical testing to validate design assumptions and specifications.
• Data Analysis: Analyze test data to improve the design and resolve any issues identified during testing.
• Standards and Compliance: Ensure that designs meet industry standards and client requirements.

• Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including technical specifications, design calculations, and testing reports.
• BOM and Instructions: Generate bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and part specifications for production teams.
• Design Review: Review and update design documentation as necessary during the project lifecycle.

• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and departments to ensure that designs align with project goals and timelines.
• Technical Support: Communicate design concepts, ideas, and results to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams during the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical components and systems.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in mechanical design engineering.
• Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to current processes, design techniques, and materials to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
• Design Review: Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of designs.

• Cost Management: Assist in managing project budgets and ensure designs are cost-effective while maintaining performance and quality.
• Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising design integrity.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, etc.
• Skills:
• CAD Software: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent).
• Design Principles: Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Analysis Tools: Experience with mechanical analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Industry Standards: Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, ISO).
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
