This position involves leading the launch of new water purification products, ensuring timely execution and delivering high-quality results.
The role entails:
- Program Management: Oversee multiple NPI projects from concept to launch, establishing clear governance frameworks and managing project timelines, cost targets, and quality metrics.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with R&D, design, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, service, and marketing teams to deliver on product specifications and customer requirements.
- Product Development & Validation: Ensure DFMA and DFX principles are integrated early in the design stage, oversee prototyping, pilot builds, and validation testing, and lead issue tracking and resolution.
- Operational Readiness: Establish production readiness with manufacturing teams, drive cost optimization through value engineering and supplier development, and ensure smooth handover to operations post-launch.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine NPI processes, tools, and best practices tailored for consumer appliance development.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong program management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Deep understanding of appliance product development, preferably in water purifiers / home appliances / consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of plastic parts, filtration technologies, electronics integration, pumps/valves, and assembly processes.
- Hands-on experience in DFMA, validation testing, regulatory certifications (ROHS, ISI, BIS, NSF, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
