Electrification Mechanical Engineer

Key responsibilities include designing inverter assemblies and components, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), conducting creepage and clearance analysis, performing tolerance stack-up analysis, creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting design reviews, DFMEAs, and validation planning.

About the Role:

This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, with proven experience in inverter component design, GD&T, creepage and clearance analysis, and tolerance stack-up. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 3D CAD tools and capable of delivering robust, innovative, and manufacturable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing inverter assemblies and components from concept through to production.
  • Applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
  • Conducting creepage and clearance analysis in compliance with high-voltage safety standards.
  • Performing tolerance stack-up analysis to validate design robustness.
  • Creating and managing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using 3D CAD software.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Supporting design reviews, DFMEAs, and validation planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mechanical design of inverter systems or similar high-voltage power electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, creepage and clearance, and tolerance analysis.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software.
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for assembly.
