Job Summary:

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of large-scale construction projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. This role involves supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local building codes. Additionally, the individual will act as the client's representative on-site, fostering effective communication with all stakeholders. Key responsibilities include monitoring contractor performance, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining accurate records of project activities.

About You:
  • You have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, preferably with a Master's degree.
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in civil construction, with at least [X] years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from design to completion.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing contractors, construction teams, and managing site logistics.

Responsibilities & Expectations:
Project Oversight & Execution
  • Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and local building codes.
  • Act as the client's representative on-site, fostering effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractor performance and conduct quality inspections to ensure timely and quality completion of work.

Safety & Compliance
  • Oversee the implementation of safety procedures on-site and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors and workers regarding safe practices and accident prevention.
  • Conduct site safety meetings and ensure all construction personnel are trained and follow safety protocols.

Team Leadership & Training
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, site supervisors, and other construction personnel.
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of all project phases.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for the site team.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in civil construction, with at least [X] years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
  • Expertise in construction project management and knowledge of construction processes, quality control, and safety management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
