Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to spearhead the implementation and oversight of large-scale urban housing projects across multiple stakeholders and departments. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project/program management, including at least 4-5 years handling government, housing, infrastructure, or urban development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual strategic plans and coordinate city-level, district-level, and municipal teams for effective on-ground delivery.
  • Supervise project management activities including timelines, budgeting, fund utilization, beneficiary identification, and progress tracking.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage project-related Request for Proposals (RFPs), bidding documents, and oversee the entire bid management process ensuring government compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: state, municipal, and central government officials, private developers, financial institutions, consultants, and communities.
  • Coordinate the flow of funds: ensure timely fund release from central/state resources and proper utilization through direct benefit transfer (DBT) and integrated Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Liaise in both English and Marathi with all stakeholders for effective project communication and public outreach.
  • Build capacities of urban local bodies (ULBs) and project teams through trainings and technical assistance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields is required.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 9+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 4-5 years handling government, housing, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
  • Proven experience in centrally sponsored/central government schemes, including fund management and implementation at state level or with government consulting assignments.
