As a Project Cost Controller, you will be responsible for preparing the project budget, annual/quarterly/monthly planning, and rolling forecasts. You will take accountability and support on project invoicing, tax issues, bonds, guarantees, financial accounting, and reporting.

Responsibilities also include coordination with clients for invoice approval, payment, and compliance purposes, maintaining an updated billing register, stringent monitoring and control of site expenses, weekly reporting of project expenses, and reconciliation of SAP entries with invoices.

Analysis of actual vs. budget costs and revenue on the project will be key, highlighting potential issues to the controller manager and project managers. You will lead the activity of project actualisation at defined frequency, coordinate with the project team to obtain required data, discuss with the controller manager to prepare finance-related slides for actua presentation, upload actua in SAP post approval, and review Kappa against budgeted costs.

Sharing of project slides for monthly business review in accordance with timeline defined by the project team is also crucial, keeping the controller manager in loop. Comprehensive checks on provisions to ensure accuracy, completeness for monthly closing, and in line with accounting rules and HO instructions will be part of your responsibilities.

Monthly cash verification and surprise verification at least once a month, reporting results to the HO team, leading and supervising compliance on Internal Financial Controls as defined by HO in the Risk and Control Matrix, and monitoring ABG, PBG, any other guarantees, insurances to ensure timely renewal, reduction as per contractual conditions are also essential duties.

Compliance with tax regulations and providing all required support to the execution team, being an integral part of the project team, anticipating issues, discussing with the controller manager, and taking proactive actions to resolve issues are important aspects of this role.

Timely filling of man days for self against respective projects, checking that timesheets of staff working on his project are filled timely and properly, supervising day-to-day work of site accountant, providing guidance and support for efficient conduct of site tasks, and supporting central controlling team on various analysis and adhoc requests will be key responsibilities.
