Job Opportunity: SCADA and MES Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design configuration, deployment, and maintenance of industrial automation systems.
  • Develop and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and MES with enterprise IT systems and cloud platforms.
  • Design and develop secure, efficient data exchange protocols using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA.
  • Manage and maintain industrial databases, including SQL, historian, and time-series databases for high availability and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in SCADA and MES engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, including scripting module configuration and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA and MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
