Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in this key role.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Selecting and designing test automation strategies, including identifying areas for automation and implementing automated regression suites.
  • Creating tools and frameworks with high-quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
  • Developing test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications, executing test cases, analyzing results, and reporting findings.
  • Collaborating with development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets acceptance criteria.
  • Planning the work of other testing staff and assigning tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Designing and developing test cases and test automation suites using Python.
  • Providing guidance and assistance to project staff using strong testing skills.
  • Reviewing and approving the work of project team members in writing scripts, expected results, test results, and defect descriptions.
  • Ensuring best practices are followed and testing activities stay on schedule.
  • Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running test cases.
  • Organizing and monitoring defect management processes.
  • Focusing on building efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs, Database testing requirements.
  • Participating in internal meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, technical reviews for assigned projects in an Agile environment.
  • Involved in requirements review and participating in architecture/design reviews with a focus on test automation/performance strategy and ensuring best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of CI/CD processes and continuous testing methodologies.
  • Active participation in functional, system, and regression testing activities.
  • Capturing quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions.
  • Estimating and performing risk analysis for quality delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Strong testing skills, including knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and developing test automation strategies.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills, including working with development teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
