Firewall Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Firewall Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support group, you will provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of firewalls.

  • Responsibilities:
  1. Provide phone, chat, and email support to customers
  2. Log and track all communications received into the ticketing system
  3. Establish quality working relationships with customers
  4. FOLLOW defined standards to resolve specific set of problems
  5. FOLLOW defined standards to collect and follow up on escalated issues
  6. Escalate issues within defined standards
  • Technical Skills:
  1. Knowledge and experience with network protocols and concepts including SSH, FTP, ICMP, TCP/IP (IPv4 & IPv6), Network Address Translation (NAT), SNMP, IPSec, GRE, QoS, and VLANs
  2. Ability to interpret output from network traffic analysis tools such as Ethereal (Wireshark)
  3. Effective interpersonal and consulting skills to align customer needs to tactical and strategic solutions
  4. Hands-on experience with Meraki and Fortinet firewalls
  5. Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic team environment
  • Qualifications:
  1. Excellent first line customer service
  2. Respond to all chats, emails, and phone calls consistently
  3. Enter all relevant data from customer contact channels into tracking system
  4. Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of all tickets that can be processed from start to finish by level 1 as defined by management
